Another quick clip from the work of Mary Caine

This week’s installment of my ongoing obituary blog dedicated to the memory of the late Mary Caine, whose recent passing will hopefully engender a renewed revival of interest in her groundbreaking work on the Kingston and Glastonbury Zodaics accompanies the posting of an all new video playlist on my continually evolving YouTube Channel Page. For more on that go to the custom list on this page and follow the links through. Or alternatively, hit here for the full monty:

This short video clip, taken from Mrs. Caine’s phenomenal ‘Glastonbury Giants’  video, created with the help of her long term video film making collaborator, Jonathan Barnett, comprises part of a season of short films and miscellaneous film clips from some twenty years or so of video output that has established Jonathan as one of the key underground film makers of the West London Portobello Art Scene: and which has resulted in the creation of his annual community based Portobello Film Festival.

The extract that you see here focuses on the layout of Glastonbury’s now legendary Temple of the Stars, originally discovered by the twentieth century writer and artist Katherine Maltwood, to whom Mary dedicated this first of her two major collaborative ventures with her longstanding partner in video film making, Jonathan: known to his mates as JB.
